L.I.F.E SPORTS ACADEMY COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are proposing the following guidelines to ensure the safety and health of our staff, parents, and our players. These proposed changes are aligned with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), National Institute of Health (NIH) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and are subject to change as the pandemic and local restrictions are updated.
As government and local jurisdictional policies are updated, we will be in communication with the participants and families to ensure you are up to date on any changes to these guidelines.
The following guidelines have been recommended. Please be aware that this
is not a substitute or should replace any guidelines that have been issued by the CDC, NIH, WHO, or government requirements.
At Home:
1. Wash your hands for 20 seconds and do it often.
Wet your hands under running water and apply soap
Lather your hands
Scrub hands for at least 20 seconds
Rinse your hands under clean water
Dry your hands using a clean tower or air dry.
2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
4. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Wash your hands thoroughly after.
5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe that has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency.
6. Follow the CDC recommendations for using a face mask++
7. Please communicate with your team administrator of non-attendance of practices or games events.
On the fields, turf, or court:
Clean garments, jerseys, or uniform to be worn always.
Clean sneakers or cleats to be worn.
All equipment will be sanitized before arriving for the start of play.
All participants will be dropped off to a staff member.
Temperature digital reader checks to taken by parent at home before you enter the fields for any soccer related activity (practice or games).
Hands must be sanitized before and after practice and games by parents.
Dirty hands need to be washed with soap and water or an approved hand sanitizer (contains at least 60% alcohol).
No large gathering of people in a small area. Wear mask to enter all facilities.
No player(s) to attend if he/she has any flu-like symptoms or has been in close contact with someone who has experienced flu-like symptoms.
No hand shaking or elbow bumping. After games, each team will leave the bench area so, the next participants or team(s) can take the field, turf or court.
No close contact – must maintain at least six feet from each other.
No siblings allowed to roam freely at practice or games
No spitting or clearing of the mouth.
Water bottles to be marked clearly and placed on the tables provided at the venues.
Players to work in grids 6 feet apart.
Only skill learning activities for the first two weeks of reopen.
Ratio of staff will be smaller (10) which will apply with State and FYSA, NAYS, and CDC guidelines. Ratio will change as needed to accommodate the participants and guidelines.
No exchanging of snacks or drinks.
Always wash hands after going to the bathroom (parent/guardian supervision on specific ages).
Leave 6-8 minutes before the next person uses the bathroom
Adults:
Staff check your temperature at home before arriving at the fields (Wear gloves if you are more comfortable but discard gloves using with CDC guidelines).
Sanitize all equipment before and after practices and game play.
Assist with social distancing when staff is instructing by making sure the players are in secured areas of safety.
No spectators allowed on the bench, practice, or playing location at any time
Parents:
Check that your child has washed hands for 20 seconds after using facilities restroom. Any player 12 and under must be taken by a parent/Guardian to the bathroom.
Ensure all your player/equipment and water bottles are cleaned before leaving the venues.
No clearing of the mouth at any time.
Always maintain social distances CDC guidelines.
Enter venue with mask. Mask inside the venue are at the discretion of the individual.
No spectators allowed on the bench, practice, or playing location at any time
Staff:
Temperature checked at home before arriving at the fields.
Ensure your equipment is cleaned before and after your session.
Develop a instruction plan in accordance with the city, county and CDC guidelines on safety and social distancing.
Adopt a realistic timescale for your players and group events.
No close contact with players, parents or other coaches unless needed - CDC guidelines.
No spitting or clearing of the mouth.
No providing of snacks or drinks to any players.
When moving the goals wear gloves to or sanitize or wash hands after with CDC guidelines.
All benches to be washed before and after day usage.
Referees:
When games resume, have temperature checked at home before scheduled events.
Ensure your personal equipment is clean.
Sanitize game ball during dead periods or games and in between games.
Adopt social distancing when giving out advice or cards situations.
Adopt social distancing at the breaks in games.
Opponents:
Complete COVID-19 Form online that all players, parents, and staff have had their temperature checked on this day of the Game.
No hand shaking, bumping or close contact with anyone at our venues.
Social distancing guidelines apply.
Ensure your participants equipment has been washed and cleaned before and when you leave the fields.
Water bottles to be marked clearly.
No exchanging of snacks or drinks.
Coolers to be marked clearly and kept close to their owner.
Adhere to L.I.F.E Sports Academy guidelines for staff, parents, and participants.

Recommended Best Practices for live play:
- Follow State of Florida Guidelines for facilities and group settings
- Spectator limits will be fifty percent of facility capacity with distance guidelines in place
- Spectators will be encouraged to wear protective gear.
- Coaches will bring the own equipment to warm up
- Games Ball will be provided by the host and no team ball will be used as a game ball
- Game Ball will be sanitized during timeouts, halftime, and between games
- Game Officials will be encouraged to wear protective gear. It will solely be at their discretion.
